10 Things You May Not Know About Software Assurance Benefits

1. Training Voucher days convert to Planning Services days. Every 3 training days can be converted into 1 planning services day.
2. 24x7 Phone Support can be used for ANY Microsoft product that is still in Microsoft’s Mainstream Support Lifecycle. The product does not have to be under the agreement under which you qualify for Software Assurance, nor does it need to be covered with Software Assurance.
3. Customers that qualify for 24X7 Problem Resolution phone support also qualify for unlimited web support for all Servers on the agreement covered with active Software Assurance.
4. For Premier Support customers, 24X7 Problem Resolution Support incidents are eligible to convert into Premier hours..
5. E-Learning for Systems and Applications content is available for download and implementation in SCORM 1.2 compliant LMS systems.
6. Once generated, both Planning Services Vouchers and Training Vouchers are valid for 180 days from the creation date. For this reason customers can hold on to Vouchers after the expiration date of the agreement.

TIP: If you have an expiring agreement with remaining Planning or Training days, generate vouchers! You can use them beyond the agreement expiration. Make sure to capture the generated voucher numbers. Once the agreement expires, you will no longer be able to access the voucher numbers in the VLSC. Additionally no changes can be made to vouchers after the agreement expires.
7. In order to receive support for the 24x7 Problem Resolution Support benefit, individuals must be listed as a point of contact in the Manage Users section of the benefit in the VLSC. They must also have the SA Access ID code which is a customer-specific ID, located in the VLSC.
8. Employers can track their employees' success in E-Learning through E-Learning’s Administration Portal. Reporting is available for course completion, assessment and login times. The Administration Portal also allows administrators to create targeted Learning Plans for specific users or groups.
9. Usage reporting is available in the VLSC for the Home Use Program.
10. Qualifying customers can receive Home Use Program rights for their employees on Office, Project, and Visio if they own the qualifying licenses with software assurance.
