SHI is ISO 9001:2008 Registered
ISO is the International Organization for Standardization chartered with the purpose of facilitating and supporting international trade by developing standards that people everywhere recognize and respect. In March of 2016, SHI's ISO registrar conducted the ISO 9001:2008 registration audit in the SHI USA headquarters site, the SHI USA Integration Center site and the SHI UK site. SHI passed this audit and was recommended for registration. With certificate in hand, we proudly announce this to all our customers. All of the processes involved in direct customer service in the USA are included in our Scope of Registration and include the Purchasing, Warehouse, Configuration and Returns Departments. The processes involved in the UK Scope of Registration include International Drop Purchasing.
What does this mean to our customers?
SHI chose to implement ISO 9001:2008 standards within our USA- and UK-based organizations in order to control our quality and provide a means for continuous improvement of both our services and our processes. Through implementation of a more formal Quality Management System, SHI looks to further streamline our processes, delivering increased value to our customers. Because our Quality Manual, Process Documentation, Metrics Collection and Management Reviews are audited and approved by an independent third party, the SHI Quality Management System is functioning to serve our customers’ business needs.
SHI’s International offices and staff share the same processes and procedures, working on one single global ERP system and reporting up to our CEO who is our Top Management member of the ISO team. While they are not named on the ISO 9001:2008 Registration, they do comply with the spirit of the standard.
