Description: Quest One Identity Manager - License + 1 Year 24x7 Maintenance - 1 managed person - Linux, Win
Mfr Part #: MPE-VOL-PK-247
Traditional identity and access management (IAM) frameworks are expensive to build and time-consuming to implement. They are burdens on most understaffed, tightly-budgeted IT departments; besides maintenance, IT typically drives all user identity lifecycle management. To meet the varied IAM needs of many different business units, IT may feel they need to work with a disjointed set of narrowly focused tools, and rely on manual processes for policy enforcement and security practices. This leaves their environments vulnerable, and makes it difficult for the staff to meet SLAs. The solution would be for IT to deploy a streamlined, secure and cost-effective IAM system that accommodates the business processes of the managers and users, and helps them meet their business objectives.
This solution is Quest One Identity Manager. It enables you to easily meet IT and business IAM objectives by allowing non-IT employees to manage their own identities and access through a self-service web portal, with no IT involvement. Just like a framework, Quest One Identity Manager controls employee access to applications, platforms, systems and data across the enterprise and throughout the identity lifecycle. But unlike most complex frameworks, there are no extensive customizations or lengthy, never-ending consulting services - just automated, "codeless" provisioning of resources across the entire enterprise, even across multiple platforms. User and resource provisioning is driven by the business owner, instead of being limited by available IT resources. To ensure compliance and security, Identity Manager offers unique workflow, attestation and separation-of-duty capabilities.
- Provides fast return on investment through deployment in months, instead of years
- Reduces human error while increasing efficiency and security through automated provisioning
- Ensures compliance through workflow and attestation based on business needs and policies
- Alleviates IT staff workload by enabling business users to manage identities and access tasks themselves
- Unifies IAM and capitalizes on your existing investments through integration within an existing IAM framework
- IAM with full visibility and control
Quest One Identity Manager keeps you in control of IAM and provides a clear view of all of your connected systems and applications. This enables you to make sound decisions about security, processes and future investments based on "identity intelligence". You can easily access data about the status of requests and user entitlements using a management-friendly dashboard view. The view can be available to any approved contributor, and the data displayed can be limited based on their role within the organization. It comes with dozens of graphs and charts right out of the box, and more can be easily added using the GUI-driven report and graph builder.
- Rich auditing and reporting
Every object, every process, every change and every action performed when using Quest One Identity Manager is fully tracked. The audit trail enables you to see exactly what was changed, how, by whom and when. With that much information available to you, you'll want to take advantage of the out-of-the-box reports and the GUI-driven report creator. You can also build reports to be used in your dashboards. Quest One Identity Manager also has powerful built-in auditing tools.
- Time trace and change simulation
All changes in the system are tracked so the origins of any setting or object can easily be determined. This capability provides a simulation mode for assessing the impact of any change before rolling it out into production. The simulation will tell you every effect of the change, including what other objects, users, rules and system processes - including those that touch connected systems - are affected. Additionally, any user, group or other object in the system can be taken on a rewind or fast forward through time to determine their state at any given point. This can be used to report on access at a specific point in time or figure out the effect of regular cycles over time.
- Codeless rules and workflows
A GUI editor enables any approved business user to configure rules and workflows directly, instead of translating requirements to programmers and technical project managers. This also means that when system changes need to be made, there is no code to rewrite - you simply launch the GUI editor and make any changes visually. All changes are tracked; you can easily determine the source of any setting or new object. Quest One Identity Manager also provides a simulation mode for assessing the impact of any change before rolling it out into production, including what objects, users, rules and processes are affected.
- Shopping cart for self-service IAM
Quest One Identity Manager includes a "shopping cart" portal for end users to make their own requests for access rights and assets managed by our solution. You simply "shop" for the asset you need, put it in your cart and check out. Because rules are applied on the fly, compliance checks for internal and external requests can be automated. If you are in a management role and next in the approval chain, you can approve requests from your employees, removing the wait time and burden on your IT department. Approvals are simple, using the solution's GUI - there are no complex mappings or other data-preparation tasks to complete the shopping cart request. Of course, if you want to add your own logo or make other changes to the shopping cart UI, you can do so by using the included GUI web designer.
