Mfr Part #: C26CS5-SL
Designed and engineered in the United States to satisfy the requirements of demanding security concerned professionals; the Hawker can support a solid-state drive "SSD" or a fast SATA high-capacity 2.5" hard drive. Hawker can be easily moved from one computer to another using the provided carrying case. Hawker is compatible with both Windows and Macintosh environments without any software installations.
The Hawker external hard drives deliver extraordinary performance, rapid file transfer speeds, and proven reliability for both Mac and PC users. And because it provides up to 1TB in single hard drive, one of the first of its kind, this device is one of the most, if not the most, versatile portable external drives in the world.
The Hawker LX is made with aircraft-grade aluminum, making this enclosure both ruggedized and durable. An exclusive shock-absorbing mechanism is built into the enclosure. Its function is to keep the hard drive suspended within the casing while dissipating the heat produced by the hard drive. The Hawker is designed this way to allow peak performance while operating at an optimal temperature.
- Pocket-size portable external storage drive
- Ruggedized aluminum casing
- Bus powered
- Carrying case included
- Incorporates SATA hard drive
- USB 3.0 and eSATA connections
- Speeds up to 5,000 Megabytes per second
- Enhanced with shock-absorbents mechanism
- Bus powered (no adaptor required)
- Secure shock-absorbent mechanism
The full-length bridgeboard provides additional protection by supporting the entire length of the hard drive. A strong aluminum rim holds the hard drive chassis firmly in place, eliminating stress on the bridgeboard and preventing damage due to impact or violent movement.
- Shock-absorbent protection
The shock-absorbent dampers strip between the bridgeboard and chassis offers additional resistance against accidental drops and bumps. The disposition of the hard drive and housing profile form an anti-shock chamber to cushion the blow of potential impacts.
- Thermal protection and load-bearing case
The precision density of the rugged aluminum aircraft-grade border provides excellent heat dissipation and is strong enough to bear external weight.
- Encryption technology
Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) is a specification for the encryption of electronic data. It has been adopted by the U.S. government and is now used worldwide. It supersedes DES. The algorithm described by AES is a symmetric-key algorithm, meaning the same key is used for both encrypting and decrypting the data.
