Today's electronic devices are more sensitive than ever and your data is increasingly more valuable. Yet as many as 120 times per month your business may be put at risk by damaging electrical surges and spikes.
While the most notable power disruptions occur externally, the majority of all power disruptions originate from within your facility during the course of normal, everyday operation. Because these internally generated surges are typically smaller in magnitude than external events such as lightning and utility problems, they often go undetected. Yet, these power disruptions subtly shorten the life of your sensitive electronics, causing data loss and costing you money. Properly installed APC TVSS units will help protect against all of these power events.
The SurgerArrest Panelmount with Surge Counter is a high quality TVSS for datacenters, industrial facilities and commercial buildings.
Key Points
  • Lightning and Surge Protection
  • Protection Working Indicator
  • Audible failure alarm
  • Replaceable individual phase modules
  • Surge counter
  • Themal overload protection
  • NEMA 3R/12 enclosure
  • Alarm contacts
  • Overload Indicator
Product Features
  • Lightning and Surge Protection
To prevent damage to your equipment from electric power surges and spikes
  • Protection Working Indicator
SurgeArrest will warn you if its circuitry has been damaged by heavy strike or power line surge and it is unable to provide 100% protection. If still under warranty, APC will then replace your damaged SurgeArrest free of charge
  • Audible failure alarm
Calls attention to a damaged surge supressor, identifying the need for service. Reduces the time protected equipment is at risk due to compromised surge suppression
  • Replaceable individual phase modules
Significantly reduces the time to repair a damaged surge protector, minimizing the time that critical loads are unprotected from transients
  • Surge counter
Records the number of power surges the unit is exposed to which can be used as an indicator that the unit is providing protection as intended. A high number of surges can be an indicator of poor facility power quality and the need for additional corrective actions
  • Themal overload protection
Prevents thermal run-away when metal oxide varistors (MOVs) become damaged, or when a continuous overvoltage condition exists
  • NEMA 3R/12 enclosure
Meets the requirements of a NEMA 3R enclosure for outdoor applications, and a NEMA 12 enclosure for indoor applications
  • Alarm contacts
Enables remote monitoring of TVSS alarm status
  • Overload Indicator
Indicator illuminates when connected equipment draws more power than unit’s capacity. To remedy the condition, unplug less vital equipment
