SIIG's Cyber I/O PCI is designed to enable more I/O device connections to your desktop computer. This Serial Parallel Combo all-in-one PCI adapter features one 9-pin RS232 serial port and one 25-pin parallel port. It is a cost-effective upgrade for standard desktop computers equipped with limited serial/parallel ports for additional device connections.
The Cyber I/O PCI adapter comes with a high-speed 16550 UART (9-pin) serial port that supports data transfer rate of up to 230Kb/s, and work as either standard RS232 ports, or with 5V/12V power outputs for devices that require power such as handheld scanners, table scanners, and POS displays. With built-in 32-byte buffers, serial port data transfer rates are dramatically increased, especially under Windows multi-tasking environment.
The 25-pin parallel port delivers data transfer rates of up to 2Mb/s. It supports EPP/ECP, BPP (bi-directional), and SPP (standard) parallel port modes and is ideal for connecting additional printer to your desktop computer.
Additional features of this Serial Parallel Combo PCI adapter card include IRQ sharing to reduce IRQ conflicts, PME (Power Management Event) that allows device to request change in system power state (wake up system), and 4-layer PCB design which separates data and grounding layers to greatly reduce signal and noise for more reliable high speed data transfer.
The Cyber I/O PCI is powered by Oxford chip and fully conforms to PCI v2.2 universal card standard. It is also FCC Class B (DoC) & CE regulatory approved and RoHS compliant. The Cyber I/O PCI is fully compatible with a wide variety of Windows operating systems.
